We are an organization within the timeline of the Society for Creative Anachronisms (or SCA for short). We deal in all aspects of nautical life between the historical periods of 600 through 1650 AD. Winters are long, winters are cold, with the breaking of the frost we wish to meet with our friends once more. Therefore we call on our friends near and far to join us for a celebration. The Norse called it the Alþingi (Althing), we call it "The Gathering."
Reminder: This is a non-sanctioned SCA event, i.e. not sponsored by the SCA, Inc.

The 9th Gathering is ever closer to our doors. We are looking to have the gathering at Horning's Hideout. For those of you not familiar with this site, it is in the Forest Grove/Hillsboro area.

Come on ye Rogues, Scallywags and Scoundrels, Corsairs, Pirates and Buccaneers!! All who feel the salty seas coursing through their veins, & those who dream to. Don't worry if you are peerage or royalty, cause we won't tell a soul-- unless of course we can ransom ye for some pretties! All are welcome to join in the revelry!

I have met with the site owner. Every thing is on track for this years event. One new item is that parking has moved to the first field, (as you pull in its on the right). There is a foot bridge between the parking and large camping field so you will not have to walk all the way around. Still NO PETS, NO EXCEPTIONS. Resident animals take priority to our own animals. F ires are ok following SCA guide lines, (above ground/contained) but NOT under the trees or in the wooded camping areas. DUH . Please please please pack your own garbage either home or to the LIMITED dumpster. Neither my staff or I are your mothers and reallllly hate to clean up after adults that should know better. We will have lots of biffies, but limited cleanings. In other words, dont abuse the numbers. They should handle us. NO MINORS DRINKING... Minors caught drinking get booted from the event. Adults are $20, children 6-13 are $10 and babes under 6 are free... NO family cap... NO CHECKS ! DONT ASK !
